Home Remedies for Piles!

Hemorrhoids, commonly known as PILES is seemingly normal but one of the most painful problems amongst the people. At least 60 percent of the people suffer from piles at one stage of their life. The reason behind this common ailment is the swelling and inflammation of the veins in the anus and rectum. There is a number of causing factors such as constipation, a low-fiber diet, heavy lifting, obesity, lack of physical activity, pregnancy, and prolonged sitting or standing.

 

Symptoms of Piles

 

1. Bleeding after or during passing stools.

2.Hanging of veins outside the anus. Often, it can be pushed back up after you have been to the toilet.

3.Pain, irritation, and itch in the anal area.

4.A sense of fullness in the anus just after you had just relieved yourself etc.

 

Remember constipation is the main factor which causes piles so, in order to treat piles, constipation should be treated. There are certain extremely effective home remedies for the treatment of piles. Few of them are as follows:

 

1.Consumption of high fiber diet. Try to include more food items with high fiber intake in your everyday diet. This will reduce the complications of piles and make the stool soft.

 

2.’Palak’ (spinach), ‘Bathua’ (chenopodium), ‘Cholla’ (Amaranth greens), ‘Sarson’ (Mustard leaves) are few green vegetables which are rich in fiber thereby easing the pain and irritation caused by piles. A PILES patient must consume these green leafy vegetables.

 

3.Squeeze one lemon into a glass of cold milk and drink the same. This home remedy will help you get rid of constipation and Piles.

 

4.Include beetroot in your daily diet. You can consume it as it is or make its vegetables or salad or as a juice. Or you can kneel the dough with its juice. 

 

5.Instead of consuming fruit juices consume fresh fruits as much as possible. Avoid the following:-

 

a) Maida (refined) Flour

b) Besan (Gram flour) 

c) Urad dal (black gram) 

d) Cauliflower 

e) Spicy food etc

 

6.Before going to bed at night consume a glass of warm milk with ‘Munnakka’.

 

7.Dip 3 Teaspoon fennel ‘saunf’ in a glass of water overnight. Drink this water first thing in the morning. This is one of the effective home remedies for constipation.

 

8.Dip 3 Teaspoonful corianders in a glass full of water overnight. Gulp down this water next day in the morning.

 

9.Eat ‘Methi’ sprouts as the breakfast in the morning. Although these are bitter in taste but an excellent natural laxative. Also include cucumber, tomato, other green veggies, fresh fruits in the diet.

 

10.One can apply coconut oil, cow’s clarified butter (Ghee), olive oil, aloe vera gel to get relief from pain and burns. It is also important to drink as much water as possible. (12-14 glasses a day)
